Jadwiga Dobrzyńska

1898
Feb. 1, 1940 in Warsaw (Warszawa), Poland

Although Jadwiga Dobrzyńska is the first Polish female architect, only the year of her birth is known. In August 1922, the newspaper Kurier Częstochowski announced that she was the first woman (in Poland?) to obtain a degree. This title was awarded to her by the Architecture Department of the Warsaw University of Technology. She began working together with her husband Zygmunt Łoboda in 1926 until her death. They designed mostly official buildings.
